Rotating assemblies are often strategic within a production cycle. A sudden breakage can immediately stop production with very heavy economic damage.
In order to maintain them before they are damaged, it is essential that they are kept under control. The continuous monitoring of the vibration level is normally the parameter used to verify the correct operation of the unit. Increased vibration levels are a symptom of a problem that needs to be kept under control and diagnosed in good time.
The reference values of the maximum vibration tolerability thresholds can be easily obtained from
ISO 2372 and ISO 10816 according to the type of machine.
Products
The VM600 is one of the most advanced systems for vibration protection of critical machinery.
Produced by Meggitt, it has now become a European standard for power generation plants (steam and gas turbines). The system consists of a rack in which the protection and monitoring cards are housed.
The MPC4, in particular, is the universal programmable protection board, which guarantees a level of modularity previously unimaginable, as it can directly manage - both as hardware compatibility and software functionality, sensors in charge, with built-in electronics, proximity sensors, 4-40 mA sensors, etc., as well as two tachometric sensors.
To complete the system, there are additional relays cards, cards for "slow" measurements (temperatures, pressures, etc.), cards for dynamic measurement and Condition Monitoring, and a CPU card, which allows local control without computer and connection, via network or modem to remote control systems.
Different software modules, ranging from a simple application for the configuration of the protection system, to advanced Performance Monitoring and Plant Usage Optimization applications, complete the package of the enormous potential of the system.

The VibroSmart product family is designed to work in critical industrial conditions including ATEX Zone II and up to 70°C.
Designed to make the activities of operators and maintenance personnel intuitive.
Its certifications allow it to be mounted on simple DIN rails on a skid near the machine, eliminating the costs associated with electrical panels and cables.
The VibroSmart input channels are easily configurable via software and thanks to its modular system, it will be possible to expand the channels during the life of the system.
All modules can be interconnected to create Trip logics and alarms and via Ethernet cable connect to the VibroSight server to display live values and historical trends.

Vibroswitch HE200SIL-certified
The Vibroswitch HE200 is a tool for protecting rotating machinery from vibration, developed by Hauber-Elektronik
The HE200 has been designed according to the guidelines dictated by the functional safety and reliability standards for electrical and electronic programmable devices, SIL.

PT500 Electromechanical vibration switch
The PT500 electromechanical vibration switch is an economical solution for the protection of rotating and auxiliary machines. The PT500 uses an inertial mechanism that makes a micro-switch contact when the vibration exceeds the set point.

SpeedSys 200 & 300
Overspeed protection
Istec offers advanced SIL-rated speed protection systems to detect overspeed and acceleration on rotating machinery. The hardware is suitable for SIL2 and SIL3 applications and conforms to API 670.
SpeedSys® 200
The SpeedSys 200 is a high-integrity overspeed protection system. The robust design with advanced self-monitoring, galvanically separated inputs and outputs, and design certification make it a high-end product that stands out in the market. Istec SpeedSys Speed Monitoring and Switching Systems
Istec's series of tachometers allow monitoring and switching the speed of rotating equipment. The systems have a small technical footprint and enable low-impact installations. The tachometer series is available in four versions.
SpeedSys T10
SpeedSys T10 is a 1-channel monitoring and switching system with 2 configurable relays. It converts rotational speed into highly accurate analog signals for further processing and provides relay functions for alarm and trip.
SpeedSys T11
The SpeedSys T11 is a 1-channel monitoring and switching system with an integrated display. It features a configurable relay. This system accurately converts rotational speed into precise analog signals for further processing and offers relay functions for alarm and shutdown.
SpeedSys T20
The SpeedSys T20 is a 2-channel monitoring and switching system with 4 configurable relays. The T20 offers more speed monitoring functions than the T10, including: speed acceleration, creep, zero speed, reverse rotation, dynamic sensor monitoring, and integrated multi-channel trip functions.
